Houston, TX / Waller County, TX – Private Plane Crash Near Houston – On October 19, 2021, a private plane with 21 souls onboard crashed while departing from the Houston Executive Airport in Brookshire, TX. Reports indicate the McDonnell Douglas MD-87, owned by James Alan Kent, began its departure down the runway but failed to gain altitude causing the aircraft to cross Morton Road, crash through a fence, and burst into flames in a neighboring field. The plane was chartered to carry 18 passengers and 3 crew members to Boston, MA, for Game 4 of the Major league Baseball American League Championship.
Miraculously, all of the passengers, including a 10-year-old child, were able to immediately evacuate the plane following the crash.
